Admissions – Early Childhood

If you are thinking about applying you are encouraged to first get to know us. Attend an Open House or Classroom Observation Morning to learn more about The Waldorf School of Philadelphia.

Admissions_ECComplete and return an admissions application along with a recent photograph of your child and a non-refundable application fee of $60.00 made payable to The Waldorf School of Philadelphia.

We continue to accept applications on a rolling basis until all of our classes are full. If a wait-pool is established, the school will consider students from the pool who contribute to balanced classrooms.

Tuition Assistance

A limited amount of tuition assistance is available. Learn more about our school's tuition assistance program. Please do not wait until the admissions decision to apply for tuition support. Applicants interested in tuition support are encouraged to submit financial aid applications at the time of submitting the enrollment application.

Admissions Play-dates

You and your child will be invited to join a group play-date with up to five other families. Children who have turned five years old at June 1st will also be invited for a half-day unaccompanied classroom visit. Applicants for the Snowdrop Nursery will be invited for an individual 1-1 meeting with a Nursery teacher, instead of a group play-date.

Enrollment Decision

You will be notified of the enrollment decision shortly after your admissions visit.

Acceptance and Enrollment

Enrollment contracts are typically sent with the letter of acceptance. A non-refundable deposit of $500 is to be returned with the signed enrollment contract. Families have ten days from the date of the acceptance letter to make a decision.
