Admissions – Early Childhood

We welcome applications for the 2018-2019 school year.

Admissions Process: Mixed-Age Early Childhood and Nursery Program

  1. Inquire or start the application process online below.
  2. Take a Tour: We invite you to tour our school and offer you a variety of dates from which to choose. For information about dates and how to register, please visit the Admissions Events page on our website.
  3. Complete your application: Once you have visited our school and you wish to apply, please complete an application (includes a $65 non-refundable application fee). As part of the application process, you will request a teacher reference form, forward any school transcripts that are available, and upload a recent photograph of your child.
  4. Admissions Interview: Once we have received your completed application, you and your child will be invited to attend an Early Childhood Admissions Play-Date.

It is beneficial to apply for enrollment as early as possible so that admissions play-dates can be easily scheduled. Space is limited, particularly in the nursery and mixed-age early childhood programs. We always continue to accept applications on a rolling basis until our classes are full. If a wait-pool is established, the school will consider students from the pool who contribute to balanced classrooms.

Early Childhood Admissions Play-Dates

We would like to get to know you and your child and to allow your child the experience of a Waldorf classroom.  Children being considered for the mixed-age early childhood program are invited for a 45-minute play-date in a Waldorf classroom taught by our trained Waldorf early childhood teachers. The play-date allows our teachers to observe applicant children in a group setting. The visit includes circle time and free play. While the children are in the classroom, all parents will meet for a group presentation and discussion with the Director of Enrollment and the Faculty Chair.

Nursery Admissions Visits

You and your child will be invited for a 45-minute visit to the Waldorf nursery classroom. There you will meet with our trained Waldorf early childhood teachers while our teachers observe your child in a group setting.

Financial Aid

All students who have turned 5 years old by June 1st are eligible to apply for financial aid. The deadline for completing your financial aid application is January 17th, 2018. Offers of enrollment and financial aid award letters will be mailed on or about February 2nd, 2018. To learn more about our school's financial aid program please visit the financial aid page of this website. Please do not wait until being advised of the admissions decision to apply for financial aid. Applicants interested in tuition support should submit their financial aid applications at the time of submitting the enrollment application and no later than the deadline stated.

You will be informed of an enrollment decision within a few weeks of your admissions visit.
