Ways to Give

There are many ways to contribute financially to support and sustain our school. Our goal is to reach 100% participation from our community – including parents and families, teachers, staff – every year for our Annual Fund. With your help, together we can help our school grow and flourish year after year.

Charitable Donations

Tax-deductible Contributions: Donations can be made securely and easily on-line via PayPal:

You can also mail your donation by sending us a check made payable to The Waldorf School of Philadelphia:

Become a Monthly Sustainer: If you would like to make a monthly, recurring donation (example: $10 a month) please click the Donate button and enter the amount that you would like to donate each month and check the box "Make This Recurring (Monthly)." And follow the same instructions that you would for a one-time donation.

Grandparent and Special Friends' Giving Circle: We see fundraising as something in which everyone in our community can participate. This is especially true for grandparents and special friends (aunts, uncles, godparents, neighbors, etc.) of our students. To join our Giving Circle, please download this form.

Matching Gifts: Ask your employer if they have a matching gift program and double (or even sometimes triple!) the impact of your donation.

Appreciated Stock: Appreciated stock makes an excellent gift. You avoid all capital gains taxes and receive an income tax deduction for the full value of the gift.

Bequest: A gift through your will can have a significant and lasting impact on our school. This can be a specific bequest or a portion of the residual of your estate. A charitable bequest may decrease the amount of tax your estate pays.

CDs, Savings Accounts, Brokerage Accounts and Checking Accounts with POD Provisions: "POD" means "payable on death." You retain full ownership and control during your lifetime. Upon your death, the account balance is paid immediately and without probate.

Charitable Gift Annuity or Remainder Trust: These gifts provide a guaranteed income to the donor for life, an immediate income tax deduction and other possible tax benefits.

In-kind Gifts of Materials and Equipment: Equipment or furnishings that are needed by the school can also be given. You are able to claim the fair market value of these gifts as a tax deduction. Please contact development@phillywaldorf.com if you would like to make a donation.
