The Waldorf School of Philadelphia boasts a diverse and dynamic network of like-minded educators and families who support one another in their desire to give children a world-class education imbued with a grassroots community spirit. Vital to our school’s ongoing success is our culture of philanthropy and engagement.

We work with great intent to embrace and engage the whole community in our philanthropic efforts because while tuition is the majority portion of our school’s revenue, philanthropic gifts support and sustain our school. Philanthropic gifts help grow and strengthen our programs, reinforce our capital infrastructure, enhance faculty benefits, and invest in the financial resources needed to build socioeconomic diversity.

Annual Fund

When you make a gift to the Waldorf School of Philadelphia’s Annual Fund you are supporting the gift of a Waldorf Education to those who truly desire it by supporting our school’s financial aid program. This is why we ask every Philly Waldorf family to make a core commitment to the Annual Fund by planning an annual gift or by becoming a monthly sustainer.  Participation in the Annual Fund is an expression of confidence in the Waldorf School of Philadelphia.

Enhancement Fund

Each year our community raises funds for special projects, such as the Playground Enhancement Project, to improve our school.

2016-2017 – New Climbing Structure
Waldorf educators understand the value and importance of play. This is why for the second consecutive year our school identified the playground as a key area for continued investment. The new climbing structure meets the needs of all of our students and provides important outlets for the energies and imaginations of students of all ages.
2015-2016 – Bespoke Slide Project

Recognizing the abundance of opportunities our new campus provides for active outdoor play. We took advantage of our outdoor landscape by placing an order for a 20ft custom built steel slide. The investment in our students will create play opportunities for generations to come.
