Specialty Camps 2021

Spark a Summer of Imagination with our Specialty Camps

Woodworking Camp
9-14 year-olds

Let imaginations run loose and experience the satisfaction of creating something beautiful, useful, and fun to make.

Summer woodworking with master woodworker, Mario Rodriguez, offers an immersive experience of being challenged to acquire new woodworking skills while making several cool new projects. Experience is not necessary, only a desire to build. Campers have opportunities to craft a walking stick, wooden spoon, small free-form sculpture, or a small box. Older campers can choose to make a wooden Mardi Gras mask.

Mario Rodriguez is the woodworking teacher at the Waldorf School of Philadelphia. He has taught the art of woodworking to children and adults for over 30 years and has many published articles about the craft as well as two books - Traditional Woodworking and Building Fireplace Mantels, published by Taunton Press.

All tools and materials are provided.
