The 2013 Spring Auction was a smashing success.  Not only did we meet our fundraising goals but  in doing so we really, really enjoyed ourselves! We dressed up; conversed somewhere other than the school parking lot; reveled in the entertainment provided by the ever-fun Dessert Dash, which included some healthy competition to win the most prized dessert and had some folk eating cake straight from the serving plate! And then came the  dancing.  And oh, how we danced!

This year’s Spring Auction promises to be even better! This year’s menu will include a sliders bar with beef, turkey, veggie and mushroom options,  mac and cheese, with delicious toppings you have only dreamed about, gluten free food options too. Beverages are currently being sourced from awesome local breweries and vineyards. And then there’s the dancing – with a much bigger dance floor!

Similar to previous years the online auction will kick-off the silent and live auction.  This enables friends and family from far and wide to have a chance to win the quality items we are known for. Tell your aunts, parents and veterinarian about it!  Your neighbors, co-workers and hair dresser (from whom you have presumably procured a donation). As generous donations pour in, watch this space and The Weekly for the items on which you will undoubtedly have your eye.  Course your plan of attack to get the things you MUST have:

  • Wanted to get your hair cut at Culture Hair Studio anyway this year?  Then bid on a gift certificate at the auction.
  • Planning on eating at least once at the Iron Hill Brewery this year?  You can find a gift card there at the auction too.
  • Plan which vacation house you are interested in.  Find another family who is committed to going with you.

No matter what it is that draws you to the auction, just make sure you plan now to join in the festivities for a great cause – The Waldorf School of Philadelphia –  on Saturday, March 15 from 7 – 10 p.m.

Save the date and I’ll see you on the dance floor!
