Wood Working: Hand Tools and Wood Carving

A basic woodworking shop introducing students to the world of working with wood using a wide variety of hand tools.

$240 for twelve sessions or $20 drop in rate

Kids class (grades 4 and up):
Thursdays, October 3rd through December 19
After-School , 3:15 p.m. to 4 p.m.
$120 for twelve sessions or $10 drop-in rate

Handwork Classes: Work with yarn and fabrics

lower_school-13Children’s After School Handwork Class (Grades 4-8)
Mondays, 3:15 to 5:00 p.m.
$10.00 per class.

This class is always a lot of fun and everyone always gets a lot done. It is possible to sign up for just one class or for several weeks at a time. Class is limited to 12 students per week; priority is given to students who are newly enrolled at The Waldorf School of Philadelphia.

Saturday Handwork
October through April; Alternating Saturdays beginning 10/12
10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
$12.00 per week or $200 for the season (including most materials)

Ms. Nicola will be preparing a series of small projects similar to those in the “Handwork Box.” You can also bring in a project of your own to get some help, or just enjoy a nice morning surrounded by all the plant-dyed colors!

Kindergarten Yoga Class
Wednesdays, October 2nd to October 30th
3:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.

For children ages 3-6 years old in the Oak Tree Kindergarten classroom with Patricia Cornelius, Oak Tree Kindergarten teacher. With 25 years teaching experience, Patricia provides yoga instruction through imaginative story, song and games.

Adult Yoga Classes
Mondays, October 7 to November 11
4–5 p.m.

Patricia Cornelius offers an all-level yoga class for beginners as well as more advanced students. The class combines postures, breathing and relaxation to bring harmony and health to your body and mind. Learn to integrate these practices into your daily life to promote health and well-being; increase your energy and vitality; and help relieve stress. This class offers a firm foundation for the beginner, honoring each student’s limitations; and provides challenges and variations for the continuing student.
