The Waldorf School of Philadelphia was originally founded in 1994 as a Waldorf-inspired playgroup. Today, The Waldorf School teaches students from ages 24 months through eighth grade. In July 2015 our school moved to a permanent new home, 6000 Wayne Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19144.



Total enrollment at the Waldorf School of Philadelphia stands at 250 students, comprised of first through eighth grade, Pre-K, Kindergarten and Parent-Toddler programs.


The Waldorf School of Philadelphia has 28 faculty members and 9 administrative staff members.

Tuition 2018-2019

  • Early Childhood - $14,600 full day with half day options available
  • 1st - 8th Grade - $15,500

Support for working families

Before-care - We offer before-care for all grade school students starting at 7.30 a.m. at no additional cost.

After-care - Enriched after-care programs are on offer for early childhood students and grades students every weekday until 5.45 p.m. costs vary and start at $14.00 per day.
