Modeling Strong, Collaborative Relationships
We are united in our mission to provide children with an academically rich and creative educational experience that fills them with beauty, meaning, and wonder. Our hopes for children—to find their place and joyfully contribute to the world as inspired and independent thinkers—are a shared dream that binds us.
Together we form a culture, co-creating and modeling mutual respect, trust, and growth. We are better together — and our children are supported by our community as they watch us work together, volunteer alongside one another, and gather to celebrate each other, our school, and our traditions throughout the year.
There are many ways for parents to become involved with the community at the Waldorf School of Philadelphia. Our Parents Association supports the various functions in the school, including mission-critical fundraising efforts, community events, and outreach activities. Parents also serve on the Board of Trustees and on a variety of Board-mandated committees.

“We're here for so many reasons: rigorous academic experience without competition. Respect for and love of art and nature. Strong sense of community. Teaching students how to think critically, not just how to pass an exam. Limited exposure to and reliance on technology. Real-world, arts-enriched skillset.”
