Our Campus
The Waldorf School of Philadelphia’s award-winning campus is located in Germantown's diverse neighborhood at 6000 Wayne Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19144. Designed and built by Frank Furness and George Hewitt in 1873, it is simply enchanting.
Our City
Philadelphia is one of the largest, most diverse, and most exciting cities in the United States. Widely considered one of the most livable cities in the world, Philadelphia is known for its balance of work and play. A collection of diverse neighborhoods, each with its own unique identity, Philadelphia has a strong history and deeply rooted identity. Historic Germantown, Chestnut Hill, Fairmount, Fishtown, West Philadelphia, and Society Hill are just a few of the neighborhoods where Philly Waldorf families live.
In recent years, the city has seen a major expansion of commercial and residential areas. With a resurgence in the makers' industries, innovations in green architecture, farm-to-table, and an explosion of small businesses, Philadelphia offers a diverse, accessible, and sustainable lifestyle. It’s no wonder the city is attracting a growing number of families from areas like Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Portland. As a school community, we are perfectly at home in this thriving metropolitan setting.
