Caregiver and Child Program | Ages Birth – 3 1/2 years

Discover the joy of our seasonal sessions designed to nurture every stage of Early Childhood.

We’re delighted to introduce a new program, our Sweet Pea class for infants from Birth through Crawling. Bring your infant for a morning of free play, exploration and quiet child observation, in a welcoming and supportive environment. Join us in a warm and cozy space to talk about the everyday moments, challenges and adventures of life with your baby.  Bring your parenting questions, share your wisdom and sip some tea as you relax into our calm, inviting and peaceful classroom. Infants and caregivers alike will benefit from the connections made in the Sweet Pea class.

We continue to host our Honeyberry class for Confident Walkers to 3 years old. Come with your child to experience a taste of the magic that happens in an Early Childhood classroom at Philly Waldorf. Participate in the important practice of quiet child observation while the children enjoy free play with natural toys with flexible, open-ended uses which encourage imaginative play. Together we’ll engage in circle time incorporating seasonal poems and songs.  For some, the highlight is snack time when the children help set the table to prepare for their warm, nourishing oatmeal which they enjoy by the light of a candle. Children and caregivers alike will benefit from the connections made in this welcoming and supportive environment.

These small, welcoming gatherings invite parents, grandparents, and caregivers to come together for meaningful connection. Enjoy 10 gentle weeks filled with seasonal songs, creative crafts, peaceful outdoor play, and quiet moments to pause and reflect on your child’s growth. Celebrate this precious time within a warm, supportive community—sharing wonder, building friendships, and making memories that last.

The child to caregiver ratio for this program is 1:1. Younger siblings of participating children can accompany caregivers until they are of crawling age.
