Pennsylvania Tax Credit Programs

If you could direct your taxes back to your community and make a difference in a child’s life, wouldn’t you?

Choose exactly where your taxes go.

We’re excited to announce that through our new partnership with the Central Pennsylvania Scholarship Fund, your gift to the Waldorf School of Philadelphia can qualify for a 90% Pennsylvania state tax credit—and a 10% federal charitable deduction. This means you can take control of your tax dollars and help more children access a transformative Waldorf education.

Support the Equity Tuition Fund

The Waldorf School of Philadelphia is committed to socioeconomic diversity. Through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC), your contribution directly supports our Equity Tuition Fund, which expands tuition assistance and ensures families from all backgrounds can experience a Waldorf education rooted in imagination, critical thinking, and purpose.

It’s a Win-Win

Whether you're an individual or a business owner, participating in EITC is easier than you think—and it has a real impact on our students this school year. Let’s turn tax dollars into tuition support—and create more opportunity, together.

How can I participate as a business?

Businesses paying PA taxes complete an online application each year to the Department of Community and Economic Development or join an SPE. Awards are received on a first-come, first-served basis and within 60 days, the contribution must be made to an approved educational organization. The Waldorf School of Philadelphia provides written acknowledgement that the business sends to DCED for tax credits to be applied.

A business owner can participate in both: as a business applying directly to PA (C-Corp, LLC, LLP, etc.), and as an individual through an SPE. The SPE allows the PA tax liability to flow through it for the purpose of participating in the EITC/OSTC program. The SPE makes the application to the Commonwealth on behalf of the members.

If you or your business (C-Corp, S-Corp, LLC, or Partnership) is subject to one or more of the Pennsylvania taxes outlined below, you are eligible.

How can I participate as an individual?

Individuals/households with an annual income of $115,000 or more or a PA personal income tax liability of $3,500+ annually can qualify for this program. Check line 12 on your PA Income Tax Return to confirm your PA Tax Liability amount.
