Nicole Nicola Rodriguez was among the six founders of the Waldorf School of Philadelphia and has been the Handwork teacher at our school since 1996. She is also mother to two Philly Waldorf graduates, who attended the school from Early Childhood through Eighth Grade.

Nicole worked as a designer and artist in New York prior to discovering Waldorf Education. Since 2001, Nicole has served as Program Director for the Applied Arts training at the Fiber Craft Studio in Spring Valley, NY.

Nicole loves knitting, sewing, and making all kinds of things, and sharing these experiences with students at the Waldorf School of Philadelphia. She feels most at home in nature and in her studio. She is especially interested in natural colors and plant dyeing and has taught numerous workshops to share these inspiring processes over the years. In addition to teaching, she also runs her own planted yarn company, My Dye Garden Studio.
