Mandy has taught music and musical theater at the Waldorf School of Philadelphia for 20 years. Waldorf Education’s emphasis on recognizing and building on the deep connections between students and teachers, between the natural world and the imagination, between artistic and academic work, and between body, mind, and spirit resonate with her as a path toward individual and planetary healing and inspire her to bring love, creativity, and energy to the classroom every day.

As a Music teacher, Mandy embraces the opportunity to share music from many cultures and genres with her students, inspiring curiosity, wonder and appreciation for musical traditions and expressions other than the ones they bring with them from home. Amanda loves working with middle schoolers on musical theater productions. She says, “Seeing students work together, supporting each other through the challenges of creating a show, striving and discovering new capacities in themselves is a special joy, and it is heartwarming to see the community respond to the magic they have worked so hard to create.”
