Maureen has always been drawn to service-oriented work. Before becoming a teacher, she worked in hospitality as an event operations manager, where her favorite part of the role was supporting the development of her team members. This passion for helping others grow eventually led her to transition to education. She has over 10 years of experience teaching preschool and elementary students in both urban and suburban settings.
A guiding principle in her teaching is the Waldorf emphasis on honoring the innocence and wonder of childhood—one of the many reasons she chose Waldorf education for her three children and is now pursuing Waldorf teacher certification.
Outside the classroom, Maureen loves spending time with her family and adding to an ever-growing list of hobbies, including hiking, reading, and traveling. One of her long-term travel goals is to visit all 63 U.S. national parks.
