Nicole Duprée brings over 20 years of experience as an educator and fiber arts specialist, with expertise in handwork, including knitting, weaving, sewing, and natural dyeing—often beginning with plants she grows herself. She has designed and facilitated more than 60 nature-based workshops, from nursery to adult learners, each one fostering focus, perseverance, and a deep connection to the natural world. This summer, she led creative community events across Philadelphia, including indigo apron dyeing at Bartram’s Garden and botanical printmaking at The Miquon School.
Her international teaching experience, combined with her work as founder of Indigo in Green, enriches her approach to craft education—integrating cultural perspectives, honoring time-tested techniques, and making space for individual expression. She is particularly excited to collaborate with class teachers to weave handwork into interdisciplinary learning and to build deep, long-term relationships with our students and community.
